JOB DESCRIPTION

Aether is looking for a Valuation Analyst (1 to 3 years’ experience) tojoin its Valuation team, with solid fundamentals in financial analysis and agenuine interest in technical and data topics.

Reporting to the Managing Director in charge of the Valuation BU, as aValuation Analyst you will work on a variety of financial instrument valuationand Corporate Finance assignments, and take part in the development of thebusiness.

In this capacity, your main responsibilities will be as follows:

• Take part in the periodic valuation and pricing of financial instruments, notably bonds, loans, convertible bonds and derivatives (swaps, etc.), ensuring the collection, processing and analysis of data as well as the implementation of valuation methods.
• Contribute to the valuation of more complex financial instruments, notably preference     shares, stock options, warrants and other option-based instruments.
• Take part in Corporate Finance assignments, notably credit risk analysis and company valuation (DCF modelling, valuation multiples, etc.).
• Prepare analyses, valuation reports and client deliverables, ensuring data quality, reliability of methodologies and traceability of results.
• Take part in discussions with clients and in the follow-up of mandates, in conjunction with team members.
• Contribute to the business development and marketing of the Valuation business, notably through the preparation of commercial proposals, client presentations and marketing materials, the performance of market studies, and participation in client and prospect meetings.
• Take part in improving and automating analysis and valuation tools and processes, in order to improve their efficiency, reliability and     reproducibility, notably using Python and Excel.

YOUR PROFILE  

Hard skills

• 1 to 3 years’ experience

• Engineeringschool or business school (grande école) degree, ideally with a specialisationin finance/ market finance
• Goodcommand of Python, notably for data manipulation, analysis and automation
• Goodgrounding in finance and valuation, notably in fixed income products and themain market instruments
• Excellent command of Excel
• Excellentwritten and oral communication skills in French and English
• Otherlanguages highly desirable: notably German or Spanish
• Preparingfor or having passed CFA Level I would be a real plus, given the knowledge itcovers in valuation, fixed income products, financial markets and corporatefinance.
